After two previous visits to India, K-pop group M.O.N.T. will be back for a three-city tour, where they will be performing, playing games and answering questions for Mints (the name of the fandom).
The MONT FOR YOU tour has been organised by Pink Box Events in association with local fan clubs: Bengaluru Kwave Fans, India Korea Friends Mumbai and Delhi Mints. The mini concerts/fan meets will be held in Mumbai and Bengaluru while Delhi will host a meet and greet. Though the group — comprising Narachan, Bitsaeon and Roda — has performed earlier in places such as Israel, Brazil and the Hornbill Festival in Nagaland and Manipur, their official debut was in January this year with the release of their first mini album, Going Up. It featured the single ‘Will You Be My Girlfriend’ which has racked up 1.1 million views on YouTube.
Ahead of their India tour, M.O.N.T. speaks to MetroPlus via email.
How does it feel to come back to India?
We are looking forward to performing again for Indian fans. We missed being in India and the fans that welcomed us warmly the last time. We are visiting Bengaluru and Mumbai for the first time so we are eager to experience other cultures here too.
What are you looking forward to while here?
We loved the food the last time we were here. We heard every place has its own distinctive food so we are looking forward to trying new things.
Any message for the fans here? What should they expect?
This time we will show them all the new songs from our second album. Since the songs are all composed by M.O.N.T., it is going to be an even more special concert for us and Mints. We hope we will be able to create many beautiful memories. Hope to see you all soon!
The MONT FOR YOU tour will get underway in Bengaluru on September 21 at MLR Convention Centre, Whitefield, at 2.30 pm.; in Mumbai on September 23 and in Delhi on September 25. Tickets are available on the social media pages of Pink Box Events.
